Artificial Labor

e-flux
Artificial Labor is a collaboration between e-flux Architecture and MAK Vienna within the context of the VIENNA BIENNALE 2017 and its theme, Robots. Work. Our Future.

In order to disseminate the topics of the VIENNA BIENNALE 2017, the MAK entered into a cooperation with the international online platform e-flux Architecture for the first time.
For the project titled Artificial Labor international experts develop new perspectives on digital modernity in essays published on the occasion of the cooperation.

Against the background of increasing automation and digitization, 12 essays by selected scientists, design and architecture theoreticians, artists and science fiction authors of different geographical origins, age and gender question the relationship between humans and technology and examine their implications for the concept of "work" with regard to possible future scenarios.
