It is one of the most pressing environmental issues of our time: the contamination of our water bodies with nitrogen. Supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and initiated byEawag, the renowned Viennese design studioEOOS, in cooperation with the company LAUFEN, developed the revolutionary prototypesave!, a waste separation toilet providing a systemic design solution in the battle against the mostly disregarded global nitrogen problem. The contribution was awarded the “Ape Nera,” the “Black Bee Award” of the Triennale, as one of the best national contributions. The design process and future scenarios of the “Toilet Revolution” will be discussed at the DESIGN NITE.
