#3 FUTURE PRODUCTION: WORK PRESENTATION

Tue, 10.01.2017, 7.00 pm

MAK Columned Main Hall

In a final works show, the StadtFabrik [City factory] presents workshop and research findings from theme block #3: Future Production.

How will we produce things in the world of tomorrow? Faced with a growing shortage of resources, future-oriented production relies on social and ecological sustainability—be it through innovative ideas in the efficient use of energy and resources, fair conditions of production, the use of local resources, the implementation of appropriate technology, or the concept of recyclability.

A project as part of the design> new strategies partnership between the MAK and the Vienna Business Agency, creative center departure.

Curated by: IDRV – Institute of Design Research Vienna, Harald Gruendl, Ulrike Haele
Project coordination: Thomas Geisler, Curator, MAK Design Collection; Miriam Kathrein, Vienna Business Agency, creative center departure
