BRANDON LATTU

Reciprocity of Light, 2010

Thu, 16.09.2010–Sat, 16.10.2010

MAK Center for Art and Architecture, Los Angeles, USA

Reciprocity of Light is an artwork that revitalizes the basic aspect of photography: a surface sensitized to the interruption of light projected from a single, focused source. In this piece, the artist has sensitized an entire room to demonstrate the increasingly conjoined ideas of image, architecture and the body of the viewer. The resulting work causes the projection of the viewer’s body to become an image as well as a sculptural component of the piece.
