Open Melt Down is a physical place as well as a metaphorical one. It is the room(s) in which the workshop is happening, as well as the space invented between the guests: here sensorial experiences and intuition are cherished, and there is no such thing as being too dramatic, too emotional, too soft. It is an attempt to melt down rigid structures in the museum and in the body. Gentleness becomes a method, a topic, and a portal through which to imagine (the) work.
 
The working language will be English, but you can write in any language you like.

Claire Lefèvre is a femme choreographer, insomniac writer, and reality TV enthusiast currently based in Vienna, Austria. She likes to think of herself as a hostess, welcoming collaborators and audience members into kitsch landscapes where politics and poetics are gently interwoven. Currently she is exploring the archetype and working methods of a performance doula, a role imagined to disinvisibilize care work in the context of performance making. She’s also working on a new piece, let’s see where that goes.
