The starting point for Marina Faust's films has always been the writing of texts that attempt to paraphrase emotions such as desire, love and sexuality. Her early cinematographic works involved the filming of her own person while speaking these texts, a parallel to her photographic work, in which self-presentation also played an essential role.

In Marina Faust's film "In six pieces", made between 1995 and 1996, the text and the person of the artist as actress play a crucial role. "In six pieces" consists of several two-minute-film sequences connected by content and composition. This is the first time that the film is presented to the public. Originally a photographer, Marina Faust has been intensely involved in the medium of film for the past three years. Marina Faust, who was born in Austria, has been living and working in Paris since 1983.
